Attaining a CMP is a 2-step process that consists of application and examination.
APPLICATION

Requirements to sit for the CMP Exam:
- You must have a minimum of 3 years in meeting management to apply
- Accumulate a total of 25 CEUs in areas such as:
- Meeting Management
- Management Responsibility
- Education & Continuing Education
- Membership in Professional Organizations
- Professional Contribution to the Field

EXAMINATION
Once your application is approved, you will receive information on how to reserve your seat at the exam. One exam site is typically Chicago, IL, however they are held at the beginning of the MPI Professional Education Conference and World Education Congress as well. In 2012, the CMP exam is moving to a computer-based program;there will be 450 testing sites available throughout the world. More information on Indiana testing sites will be posted when it is available.
